Jobs and energy: compare cash, XP and net cost

Choose jobs for a stated objective and compare their reward per resource rather than just the biggest payout.

Use your current game values. Numeric cases below are illustrative; exact game rates and prices have not been independently tested.

Choose cash or progression first

The official description says jobs earn cash and levels. When your client displays energy or other resource requirements, compare jobs using the same resource and reward units. A high cash payout can be poor value if it consumes much more energy; the best XP option may earn less cash.

Do not combine cash and XP into one score without explaining your preference. Keep two rankings and choose the one that matches your immediate goal.

A comparison you can reproduce

Illustration: Job A gives 600 cash and 30 XP for 10 energy; Job B gives 1,000 cash and 80 XP for 25 energy. A yields 60 cash and 3 XP per energy; B yields 40 cash and 3.2 XP. A wins for cash efficiency, B narrowly for XP efficiency. None of these values is a claimed game reward.

If there is an entry cost, subtract it from cash reward. If payout is random, use the average observed net reward over multiple attempts, not the largest win.

Check one job’s efficiency

Account for practical limits

A resource-efficient job can still be inconvenient if a cooldown or requirement prevents repetition. Record the time taken and resources recovered during your real session. Do not infer a regeneration rate from this calculator.

Before ending a session, decide where the cash will go. Use the property decision guide for income purchases, or equipment comparisons if combat is your current constraint. Save a short goal in your session planner to make the next visit purposeful.
